This great addition to the sporting line up played at the Vikings club was established in 2015 and also saw the introduction of Anders Hagstedt as the resident floorball “pro”.
Thomas and Anders have continued to grow on the founding success and enthusiasm for this popular sport which is best described as a hybrid of Ice hockey (without the ice of course!).
The floorball section of the Viking Club has attracted players from many nationalities and has been a great success for those hankering for a taste of ice hockey in the tropics. The Hua Hin Vikings practice on Wednesdays each week from 17:00 – 19:00 at the True Arena Sports Club on indoor, air conditioned playing surfaces.
As always, we welcome players of all ages and abilities, from all walks of life. All you need in order to participate is a keen sense of fun and the desire to get/stay fit. If this sounds like the game for you, why not Join us today.

Floorball is a fast and entertaining sport which originates from Sweden. Now found all over the world, the sport has steadily grown in popularity with around 75 countries having become members of the International Floorball Federation (IFF) and several professional leagues now prominent in northern Europe.
Floorball is a lot like Ice Hockey in terms of its rules, however its played with two competing teams of 5 vs 5 plus a goalie and uses a holey plastic ball instead of a puck. A standard match is 3 x 20 minutes of effective playing time, but can vary depending on skill and ability levels of the players.
Floorball is easy to learn and fun to play with no previous experience required. Basic skills can be developed quickly with more advanced plays, tactics and handling coming with time.
