The Hua Hin Vikings are proud to be hosting the first ever Champions Cup in September this year. The inaugural tournament will take place over one day with 12 teams and around 120 players expected to take part. We are lucky enough to have some of the best grass pitches in Thailand right on our doorstep so the Champions Cup in 2023 will take place at True Arena Hua Hin, where we’ll be utilising both of their FIFA regulation 7-a-side pitches for a quick fire knockout tournament. Lets see once and for all who the best 7’s team in Thailand really is?!
Hua Hin is around a 2 hour drive south of Bangkok and has some great transportation routes for traveling expat clubs. Located just 10 minutes from the tournaments location are the international hotels, bars, shops and beaches of Hua Hin town, so why not make a weekend of it with family? Catering will be provided at the pitch on the day and the after party will take place at Prime Steakhouse – Hua Hin’s best Steakhouse! All of which is inclusive in the team entry fee.
Entry to the tournament is open to all local and national expat clubs / teams in Thailand. If you would like to get a team together, please submit a registration. We look forward to welcoming you on the day!
The Viking club organise and host a variety of tournaments throughout the year for football as well as our other disciplines. Our flagship event, the Hua Hin World Cup has grown in popularity over the years with more and more teams lining up to have their shot at the title. The Champions Cup will be played at the famous True Arena in Hua Hin. This impressive multi-sport facility hosts both recreational and completive sporting events as well as training facilities used by some of the worlds most prestigious sports teams. A 4 storey clubhouse, all day restaurant and rooftop pool can also be enjoyed by guests.
The True Arena boasts 2 FIFA regulation sized grass pitches which are intended for competitive 7 a side football. Viking club has secured both pitches again this year for the entire duration of the tournament. As well as the football itself, we’ll have a whole host of other activities, refreshments and live music in the Viking Club hospitality area.
